The cottage is perfect for a family or group of friends. Beautifully restored, a great location, plenty of space for everyone. The back and front yard is beautiful with its lovely gardens. The cottage had all the amenities we needed. We will definetly be back, Great property!
26 Mar 2018We stayed here for 2 nights while we explored Margaret River. The room and bed were lovely as was the bathroom. The shower worked well and we had good water pressure. The WiFi also worked well enough for email. When we checked in, the front desk lady gave us lots of good information about things to see in the area. She even told us where the local laundromat is located. Breakfast was delivered every morning – yogurt and milk and cereal. There is a good brewery/restaurant right next door with a path across the back of the property. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
The name of this motel describes it perfectly. Set just outside of town north of the Margaret River, the motel is within easy walking distance of downtown Margaret River. The motel itself is in a peaceful setting about 50 ft (15 meters) off of the road. While there is a little road noise during the day, at night there is virtually no traffic. The owners greeted us and ensured we had everything we needed to make our stay complete. They also provided recommendations on what to see and do and where to eat in town. Our room was large enough to easily accommodate our large suitcases. It also had a nice, updated bathroom. Outside of our room was a small porch with a table and chairs and beyond that was a secluded courtyard available to guests. We had a very restful and enjoyable visit.
We loved our stay at Edge of the Forest. The room was comfortable and clean, with beautiful quality towels and linen. The heating worked well and there was a kettle, small fridge and microwave. We received a complimentary bottle of wine, and daily continental breakfast which made the mornings easy. The DVD collection is a nice touch, we watched a movie every night. The location is good, right before you enter town, about a 10 minute walk in. You need to cross a busy road, but it’s not difficult when there’s a break in traffic. It’s not well lit at night, so keep the flashlight on your phone handy. The owners are genuinely friendly and happy to help with recommendations or travel plans. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
Located on th edge of town, about 10-15 min walk. Near to The Brewery which does great craft beers and pub food. Nice clean rooms, and friendly staff. Basic breakfast included if you book direct. Good value for money in this region.
The room was comfortable and tidy, staff were welcoming and friendly and the location was lovely and peaceful – it really is on the edge of the forest. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Edge of the Forest Motel & Cottages.
Thank you from SA! 5 Jan 2018Thank you to Denise & Alan, absolutely wonderful! Fantastic location, excellent rooms and a great courtyard. We will certainly stay here again! Close to the brew house and great bush walks. Close enough to walk into the town – 5/10mins.
Nice motel, obviously run by a family who care about it and their guests. The room was clean and tidy, with a new bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and close to local shops and restaurants. Priced well for what’s provided. Stayed February 2018
Such a lovely little motel on the edge of Margaret River township. Its small size lends to the charm of staying here. Really friendly welcome upon arrival and actually shown to our two rooms, rather than “here are your keys” and away you go. Rooms set around a compact grass courtyard, with a small table and a few chairs across from each room, so you could enjoy the fresh air and the quiet while having a drink. Rooms were excellent. Perfectly setup, modern and very clean. Could not have asked for more for the price paid. We walked the short distance into town for breakfast at the Margaret River Bakery, although the motel does offer breakfast packs. For dinner each night, it was a short 150 metre walk down a “fire trail” at the back of the motel to get to the local Brewhaus, where the beer and food were both excellent. Not even having to walk along the main road to get there was a nice way to end the day, although remember your mobile phone so you have the flashlight to light the way back later, as no lights on the trail.
3 Jun 2018 We stayed here for 4 nights in our WA holiday. The room was compact but perfectly suited all our needs. It was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. It was a short walk to a nearby restaurant for our meal and not far from the centre of town. I would definitely come back here.
