A one night stay at the Edge of the Forest, free parking, and organised reception made arrival and checking in easy. They happily and quickly booked us in provided us with fresh milk for our coffees and organised our dinner reservation. The room was exactly what we wanted, clean and the beds comfortable. There was DVD’s for us to use free of charged and free wifi. There is your own personal BBQ also. We will be coming back againReviewed by CHN728 Jul 2019
Owner/staff was friendly and gave many helpful suggestions on places to visit and eat. They also gave us vouchers for discounts at some of the restaurants. Room was clean and neat. The shower has very hot water and heater so it’s very comforting in the cold weatherReviewed by Esther W5 May 2019
I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem at the Edge of the Forest. The location was perfect for our requirements. Our King Bed room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Flat screen TV and free DVD movies to choose from. Supplies to make a cuppa. Great bathroom and very nice fluffy towels. Our host Denise was very welcoming.Reviewed by Susan P24 Jul 2019
We only stayed one night but found the Edge of the Forest accommodation to be very good as it is close to town, the place is lovely and clean, a spacious room and good value for money. The bathroom was renovated and heating worked well as it was a cold weekend. There was even electric blankets on the bed for extra warmth but we didn’t need them as a/c was enough. The host who was caretaking while the owners were away was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the mattress was very firm on the King size bed which made my nights sleep a bit restless but apart from that everything was great!Reviewed by twopages20 Jun 2019
Lovely cottage Such a beautiful well looked after cottage. Beds are comfortable. The owners are lovely. Great location, away from the busy town center but only a short walk to the main strip. Highly recommend! Would definitely stay here again. Reviewed by RoxineO 2 Jun 2019
24 Feb 2018We stayed here for 4 nights recently while exploring the Margaret River region. Our room was comfortable and equipped with basic dining utensils and a microwave. We were provided with a free continental breakfast every morning for having booked direct with the hotel. Our hosts were very friendly and an extremely useful source of information about the area.
26 Mar 2018We stayed here for 2 nights while we explored Margaret River. The room and bed were lovely as was the bathroom. The shower worked well and we had good water pressure. The WiFi also worked well enough for email. When we checked in, the front desk lady gave us lots of good information about things to see in the area. She even told us where the local laundromat is located. Breakfast was delivered every morning – yogurt and milk and cereal. There is a good brewery/restaurant right next door with a path across the back of the property. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
The room was comfortable and tidy, staff were welcoming and friendly and the location was lovely and peaceful – it really is on the edge of the forest. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Edge of the Forest Motel & Cottages.
We stayed here overnight while in Perth on holiday. I booked this accommodation after reading other reviews and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by a lovely lady at the desk, who told us about local attractions and things to see, and gave us a map. It is a family run business so we found it very friendly. The accommodation itself is spacious and comfortable with a table looking onto the garden which is beatiful. There are a family of lizards around the property and we were lucky enough to see one of them. There are also many different birds to see there. Great place with close proximity to the town restaurants, shops etc. Highly recommended.Show less
Thank you from SA! 5 Jan 2018Thank you to Denise & Alan, absolutely wonderful! Fantastic location, excellent rooms and a great courtyard. We will certainly stay here again! Close to the brew house and great bush walks. Close enough to walk into the town – 5/10mins.
