3 Jan 2018Denise and Alan are lovely host they make everyone one feel so welcome. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, rooms so clean and well stocked with everything you need. BBQ area is a beautiful place to sit and read or just relax while you cook. Thank you so much for a lovely relaxing and enjoyable stay. To make my day even better the birds come to eat so relaxing to watch Trini
3 Jun 2018 We stayed here for 4 nights in our WA holiday. The room was compact but perfectly suited all our needs. It was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. It was a short walk to a nearby restaurant for our meal and not far from the centre of town. I would definitely come back here.
We only stayed one night but found the Edge of the Forest accommodation to be very good as it is close to town, the place is lovely and clean, a spacious room and good value for money. The bathroom was renovated and heating worked well as it was a cold weekend. There was even electric blankets on the bed for extra warmth but we didn’t need them as a/c was enough. The host who was caretaking while the owners were away was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the mattress was very firm on the King size bed which made my nights sleep a bit restless but apart from that everything was great!Reviewed by twopages20 Jun 2019
The name of this motel describes it perfectly. Set just outside of town north of the Margaret River, the motel is within easy walking distance of downtown Margaret River. The motel itself is in a peaceful setting about 50 ft (15 meters) off of the road. While there is a little road noise during the day, at night there is virtually no traffic. The owners greeted us and ensured we had everything we needed to make our stay complete. They also provided recommendations on what to see and do and where to eat in town. Our room was large enough to easily accommodate our large suitcases. It also had a nice, updated bathroom. Outside of our room was a small porch with a table and chairs and beyond that was a secluded courtyard available to guests. We had a very restful and enjoyable visit.
Such a lovely little motel on the edge of Margaret River township. Its small size lends to the charm of staying here. Really friendly welcome upon arrival and actually shown to our two rooms, rather than “here are your keys” and away you go. Rooms set around a compact grass courtyard, with a small table and a few chairs across from each room, so you could enjoy the fresh air and the quiet while having a drink. Rooms were excellent. Perfectly setup, modern and very clean. Could not have asked for more for the price paid. We walked the short distance into town for breakfast at the Margaret River Bakery, although the motel does offer breakfast packs. For dinner each night, it was a short 150 metre walk down a “fire trail” at the back of the motel to get to the local Brewhaus, where the beer and food were both excellent. Not even having to walk along the main road to get there was a nice way to end the day, although remember your mobile phone so you have the flashlight to light the way back later, as no lights on the trail.
We stayed in the cottage next to the motel and it was perfect, so beautifully renovated and had everything you would need. We had 6 adults and 2 kids & 1 baby and weren’t squashed (though we are related 😉 the cottage backs on to the beautiful walks through the Margaret River Forest and it is less than 2 mins walk out the back gate to a great brewery 👍🏼
Nice motel, obviously run by a family who care about it and their guests. The room was clean and tidy, with a new bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and close to local shops and restaurants. Priced well for what’s provided. Stayed February 2018
Well priced, friendly welcome, lovely decor, and nice setting, this is an easy choice for a visit to Margaret River. Very close to the Brewhouse, accessed by a private path behind the premises, you will enjoy your stay!Reviewed by bizcoach2724 May 2019
Beautiful, Peaceful & Welcoming I stayed at the Edge of the Forest for one weekend in Margret River and I had an excellent stay here. The owners were friendly and welcoming and offered many recommendations for things to see and do in the area. The rooms were clean with a nice amount of space. Our suite faced the garden and it was nice to sit outside there each morning with my coffee. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and I would recommend it to my family and friends. Stayed February 2018
We spent 5 nights at Margaret River last week staying at Edge of Forrest Motel. Highly recommend this place to stay on the edge of town Friendly Service, Clean Rooms as well as a nice bottle of Wine upon arrival, Room has a Microwave and Crockery which is collected to be washed daily. Delightful scent from Jasmine growing on Balcony outside room. whilst there I celebrated my birthday after being out most of the day we arrived back to our room, there sitting on the bed was a box of Chocolates and a birthday card from Allan and Denise (owners of Motel) what a lovely thought.Reviewed by Pauline W4 Oct 2019
