Everything at Edge of The Forest Motel was great. It is situated in close proximity to the main street of Margaret River. Steve, the host, was extremely friendly and accommodating and the room itself was perfect. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Can’t fault it and would definitely stay there again.

Amazing location for Margaret River town. The staff and the manager were very accommodating. We arrived earlier than our check in and they let us store our bags in our room which was very good of them. The room was well appointed and clean. The beds were comfortable. The location is just as the title suggests. It’s a very short stroll into Margaret River and a perfect location if you are driving around the Margaret River exploring.

This was an excellent stay in every way, the location was perfect, peaceful setting, lovely area to walk and cycle , easy walk to the town, bars and restaurants. The accommodation was perfect for us, well equipped and lovely area to sit outside overlooking the garden. Our host Steve was really great , nothing too much trouble , really goes the extra mile, gave us lots of information of best places to go. Highly recommend this wonderful place to stay.

“We booked for a cosy weekend getaway and it was everything we needed! The location is fantastic being a short walk into town, we fell into a great routine of heading to the bakery for brekkie and exploring by car during the day.

So well located for everything you could want to do in Margaret River, and Steve helped us plan a scenic drive back to Perth which was incredible.

We’d definitely love to come back – especially with the added coziness of the electric blankets!

‘A gem of a place to stay

Steve runs the place and is the perfect host. Knows what the customer wants and knows Margaret River well and happy to advise. The room was well prepared and the bed was very comfortable. Motel is superbly located on edge of Margaret River town – a 10 minute walk.
Steve recommended places to visit and eat and was right every time. Particularly the Brewhouse virtually next door for meals.
We loved the place and would recommend it without reservation.’

‘The place to stay in Margaret River

I absolutely enjoy(ed) my stay at the Edge of the Forest Motel. The room is charming with outdoor space to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine; and has everything one would like to find for a relaxing holiday. A lovely stay in a great property.

Everything. This on the surface is an old fashioned motel style property. However, it is a real gem, offering great value for money within an easy walk to the centre of Margaret River township. The leafy location is just beautiful.

Great host, location and accommodation

Great find for a comfortable stay in Margaret River. The motel is simple, but clean and very comfortable. Steve is a great host (as is Clover the dog) and very knowledgeable about the area, with great recommendations for what to see and where to go.The town is within walking distance and the two closest eateries, The Brewhouse and Swings and Roundabouts, were good. Would definitely recommend.

Like at Home

A wonderful place, surrounded by greenery and yet close to the village. Everything is well maintained, you have a separate terrace for each room and Steve is a great host on site. A friendly and open welcome, gave suggestions on what we could do, you just feel at home.

Super accommodation in a great location.

This accommodation is brilliantly presented, with super comfortable beds, air-dried linen, private outdoor space ,and all the equipment for a perfect stay. The garden for Bar-b-ques, and watching the birds is a bonus.
Our host Steve was absolutely fantastic, providing great local information and going the extra mile in every way.

Room was excellent and very clean. Had everything we needed. Super location – we were able to walk into Margaret River centre for breakfast, dinner etc (10 min walk). Keyless entry to the room was a great feature. Would highly recommend Edge of the Forest Motel, Steve was very welcoming and friendly and was able to advise us on some super places to check out while we were there.

Great place to stay

Had a lovely stay with friends at the edge of the Forrest motel. Contact before we arrived was super quick and when we turned up we were offered a more suitable room than one of the ones I’d booked, which was really kind and unexpected. No extra charge. Lovely rooms, comfy beds. Steve was super friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble even brollies to walk to the restaurant when it rained! Lovely garden as well just perfect for a wine post visiting the local wineries. Also the added bonus of clover the dog cuddles! I’ve staying in margs before but not at the motel, would definitely go back. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

“Stunning Location”

My husband and I love this motel, we always come here on our trips, only six rooms, so very peaceful and quiet. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious, with everything you need including a microwave and toaster. There is a beautiful little communal garden with a lush lawn, surrounded by shady trees, a perfect spot to sit and chill out or read a book, enjoy a glass of wine. There are many walking trails around the motel, which is great, you can leave the car behind. One very short trail leads you to the Margaret River Brewery, good food, good beer, a fire, love this place. The owner Steve is very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, he has a good knowledge of the local area. We highly recommend this beautiful little motel, such a relaxing place to stay.

Perfect Getaway

A memorable stay. Steve is a warm welcoming and friendly host.

The rooms are perfect – clean and everything and more is provided. Quiet and directly backs on to a beautiful forest which is perfect for walks and runs.

The location is ideal – a short walk to shops, restaurants and cafes.

Absolutely recommend staying here!

I had a perfect stay here!

Steve is an amazing host and always on the lookout to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he also has a lot of tips on activities and provided a bike for me.

The Room was really really clean and comfortable, the garden was well kept and all of the plants around the motel made for a really cozy atmosphere.
